Black Student Association Scholarship

For BSA Members – The Black Student Association Scholarship is given to one active, outstanding, current OCCC student who is a member of the BSA who has made significant contributions to the BSA and to OCCC. This award is based on academic merit in additional to consideration of a student who has demonstrated great potential in spite of personal challenges.

Criteria: 1) Must be a current member of the BSA Student Organization; 2) Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher; 3) Must plan on obtaining an associate degree from OCCC; 4) Must have financial need; and 5) Must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours in the Spring semester; and 6) Complete scholarship essay

  3. Do you plan to obtain an Associate Degree from OCCC?
  4. Will you be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours this spring semester?
  5. ESSAY: (At least one paragraph that answers each of the following questions.) 1. What are your future goals? 2. In what activities have you actively supported the BSA and the College? 3. How has the BSA been beneficial to your college expereience?
